Amazon has been surprisingly liberal with boys So far, letting Kripke get away with a lot more than comic fans expected before the show even started, and the only scene that was turned down from boys Season 1 (Homelander enjoying himself in New York City from the top of a skyscraper) eventually found his way into season two. While Soldier Boy interprets the act as an audition of sorts, Homelander is simply using his patriot and has no intention of making this final sexual conquest of the Seven.
In the original story of Ennis, Soldier Boy is eager to join the Seven and is forced to have sex with the Homelander. Kripke simultaneously emphasized that one memorable soldier moment from the comic book wouldn’t make it to the show.
